Traditionally, Active Noise Canceling is an effective way of suppressing noise around you so you can focus exclusively on your music.

A bubble is sometimes created to the detriment of a weak reproduction of low frequencies. This is the reason why Yamaha offers with this YH-L700A headphones an innovative solution, taking the advantage of integrating the microphones inside the ear cups.

This configuration allows the surrounding noise to be suppressed without modifying the processing of the audio signal. To do this, the internal and external microphones work together.

Their goal is to capture ambient noises both outside and as close as possible to your ears to gently suppress them without ever affecting the sound reproduction.

The “Listening Optimizer” function, which also relies on the internal microphones, complements the active noise reduction. Its role is to measure air and seal leaks around your own ears every 20 seconds. The assurance of benefiting in all circumstances from perfectly optimized and personalized listening.

Enjoying your favorite playlists to the fullest anywhere, is the goal of any active noise-canceling headset. However, when we move outdoors, not being aware of our surroundings can be particularly dangerous.

This is why Yamaha has also integrated an Ambient Sound mode on this YH-L700A headphones. This function uses the microphones, which are then responsible for capturing external sounds to place them in the background of your music. As a result, you can enjoy your playlists in complete safety.

Yamaha YH-L700A: Advanced listening comfort

The “Listening comfort – advanced” function offered on this Yamaha YH-L700A Bluetooth headset aims to optimize the equalization from a fixed volume.

Indeed, depending on the music streaming platforms and audio formats of your files, the dynamic ranges can vary considerably from one music to another, or even throughout a single song. With its “Listening comfort” feature, Yamaha offers an adaptive approach in real-time.

It does this by using data from the last five seconds while calculating the average sound level every 0.7 Ms. Thus, applied to a four-band equalization, the correction allowed by this function adapts to the average listening volume.

Yamaha YH-L700A: Bluetooth aptX adaptive, AAC, SBC

The Qualcomm aptX Bluetooth codec offers the possibility of benefiting from a variation of the audio rate ranging from 276 to 420 kbps to find the perfect mixture between connection stability and audio quality. From a latency point of view, its results place it between the aptX Low Latency (superior) and aptX / aptX HD codecs. It is also backward compatible, allowing it to work with any aptX or aptX HD compatible source.

This codec allows the Yamaha YH-L700A Bluetooth headphones to offer you optimized listening at all times. In addition, the AAC (Apple) and SBC Bluetooth codecs complete the picture, thus opening up the field of possibilities as to the sources that can be associated with them.
